Checkvalves are used as isolation valves that permit flow in one direction but stop
flow in the opposite direction, to isolate well-servicing equipment from
high-pressure treating fluids during fracturing applications. The flapper check
valve provides a safety device in the flow line to assure that pressure and
fluid cannot backup into the manifold area or into the pumps.
Flapper
check valves are manufactured in 2" & 3" sizes for standard and
sour gas environments. Each size is offered with hammer union end connections,
and available in pressure ranges from 10,000 psi to 15,000 psi for well service
applications such as acidizing, cementing and fracturing. Each check valve has
a nameplate marked with size and pressure, and this working pressure
corresponds to the maximum pressure acceptable for either end connection.
Seat
and body of the valve are separate to assure the seat can be replaced fast and
easily as needed. And carboxylated nitrile flapper face is abrasion resistant
against a complete range of well fluids.
