Drill pipe elevators can be center latch type (CL drill pipe elevators) and side door type, CL drill pipe elevators are popular all over world and side door drill pipe elevators are popular in China and Russia or Uzbekistan. CL drill pipe elevators can be A series and G series, the two series are the same as DD drill pipe elevators or DDZ drill pipe elevators. c are for handling 90 degree drill pipes and DDZ drill pipe elevators are for 18 degree drill pipes. CD drill pipe elevators are also for 90 degree drill pipes and CDZ drill pipe elevators are for 18 degree drill pipes, CDZ drill pipe elevators are patiently designed by Sapwells Petroleum Machinery Co., Ltd. Drill pipe elevators cover pipes from 2⅞in to 5½in and range from 100 tons to 500 tons.

DD Drill Pipe Elevator

DD drillpipe elevators are conventional collar center latch elevators for handling 90 degree shoulder drill pipe in oil and gas drilling operation, DD drill pipe elevators are cast from high quality alloy steel, heat-treated, and NDT tested.  The rated loads rang from 100t (900kN) to 350t (3150kN), and cover pipe sizes from 2⅞" to 5½" OD, IU, EU, or IEU. Link ears conform to API elevator links, DD drill pipe elevators bear API monogram as per API requirements, and marked with size of drill pipe and rated working capacity.
